HTS - structural investigation and testing services
HTS offer a UKAS accredited nationwide structural investigation and testing service to clients responsible for maintaining a wide range of buildings and structures such as bridges, industrial plants, multi storey car parks, schools and offices.
Services offered include in-situ testing - concrete strength, chloride content, presence of High Alumina Cement (HAC), petrographic examinations for ASR, concrete condition surveys (to BA 35/90), covermeter surveys, half cell potential surveys, chloride sampling, carbonation measurement, Post Tensioned Special Inspections (PTSI or SPTI to BA 50/93).
Building condition investigations can include video endoscope, ferroscan or covermeter surveys to determine the cause and extent of concrete spalling and delamination. Access can be undertaken by abseiling, or by staff who are trained to operate MEWP (IPAF) and erect aluminium scaffolding towers (PASMA). Additional training for working in confined spaces and PTS training for working in the rail environment ensure HTS can survey in most environments.
With its experience of repair works gained through its association with its sister company, Topbond, HTS are able to offer practical repair solutions to defects identified at testing stage and can if required offer clients a ‘one-stop’ service.
