Accreditations and Approvals

Topbond has been quality assured since 1996, initially to ISO9002 then to  ISO 9001:2000 in 2003.  In 2009 the transition to ISO 9001:2008 was successfully achieved.

HTS, the survey and testing division of the Topbond Group, are also UKAS accredited to ISO 17025:2005 for the following testing services – carbonation depth; half cell potential of steel reinforcement, location of reinforcement, rebar continuity, resistivity and concrete sampling.

We have been Constructionline accredited since the inception of the scheme back in the late 1990s and are also now accredited under CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Scheme).  Details of our categories and notation levels with Constructionline are available on request.

We are also approved for a range of activities for railway works under the  Link Up  and  Proof  audit schemes.

We are approved by numerous local authorities and other bodies, including the Highways Agency, Environment Agency and English Heritage.  As technology moves towards electronic tendering we have completed the registration process with the major supply portals, including those for the 2012 Olympics.

We have been particularly active with the Concrete Bridge Development Group and one of our projects – Queens Park Bridge in Rochdale was the subject of a CBDG paper - CBDG Technical Paper No.11 , 2005).

Topbond are approved installers of the following products – Platipus Anchors, Cintec Anchors, Chance Piling, Margel, Helifix and Wijma timber bridges and lock gates.
