TOVIL EMBANKMENT
OVERVIEW
Due to flooding of the River Medway, it became necessary to carry out piling and bank stabilisation to a railway embankment. Topbond were engaged to carry out all the logistics for the works, which involved transporting all plant and materials to and from site, via the River Medway.
THE CHALLENGE
The works took place when river flows were high, special care had to be taken to ensure that the vessels could all be navigated through the river and under bridges with high flows.
THE SOLUTION
All our own Uniflotes and Schottel tugs were mobilised to Allington Lock allowing for the delivery of materials and plant to take place; works were completed in a timely manner.
