HTS Flooring is a newly established division of the Topbond Group, set up to service the ever-present requirement for durable, high-quality flooring for factories, showrooms and warehouses. HTS Flooring can provide a full service from survey through to completion and can both install new floors and repair existing floors. Their experienced staff can give recommendations for the right type of floor for a particular environment and we are at the cutting edge of new technical developments in the flooring market.
Types of Flooring
There is a huge range of standard formulations and manufacturers' proprietary formulations on the market. At HTS Flooring we believe that we understand the nature and functionality of most if not all of them. In our opinion this is the only way to approach our clients with well thought-out options for discussion. The key variables in this equation are nearly always the same – performance, appearance and longevity versus cost and speed.
In simple terms, contractors and clients need to know they can meet their needs within the budget they allowed. What we do well is to present the technical options available inside and outside the target budget.
Our aim in all cases is to optimise expenditure. We will always try and reduce client costs – but we are not afraid to point out where over-optimistic expectations in either budget cuts or specification downgrading will lead.

Floor Preparation
Correct floor preparation is of paramount importance - the manufacturers of floor screeding and coating products make every effort to emphasise this point, particularly if some form of guarantee is required.
Floor preparation should be a simple enough matter. And yet it is surprising that we are called in to fix so many defects caused by lack of proper attention to this stage of the process. We come across some very expensive materials that have been specified by or approved by a contractor or their client which then fail to perform in use. Wasting money is always a painful experience!
At HTS Flooring we pay as much attention to this key stage as we do to laying the actual screeds and coatings because we know only then can clients expect to get the flooring performance they have paid for.

Floor Repairs
When existing premises require differential extensions, a radical change of use or are just damaged then any repair can save a fortune – or waste one!
At HTS Flooring we ask for a full and frank meeting to find out about realistic expectations, sensible estimates of actual future use and honest budget discussions. Not always an easy combination! Ideally, discussion should include the contractor as well as the client - but we have a pragmatic understanding of conflicts of interest regarding contractual obligations.
Ultimately, we will tell you what we think is realistically possible then if awarded the work we will complete the job to the best of our ability.
Guaranteed Work
Some manufacturers will offer performance and/or longevity guarantees for their products. We are happy to tell you what these are and our opinion of them. We are approved installers of a wide range of these types of products and we are continually improving our improved installer status as new developments come along.
As regards our own work, we are happy to revisit a job at our own cost whenever we consider our reputation is at stake. We are confident enough in our capabilities to know this approach to providing a “comfort factor” for customers has been a rare occurrence.
