Structural refurbishment experts Topbond plc have over 30 years’ experience of concrete repairs, working on a wide variety of structures from factory floors to bridges and subways.
Over the years Topbond has established a reputation as ‘bridge specialists’ although we do of course work on a range of other structures. We have carried out bridge strengthening and refurbishment projects on numerous bridges, working both directly for local authorities and as sub-contractors to Term Maintenance Contractors. We also undertake repairs and refurbishment works on culverts, subways and tunnels. We have on many occasions been called upon to undertake emergency bridge repair works to bridges which have been struck by lorries. Our specially formulated anti-skid surfacing has been used on ramps and footbridges throughout the United Kingdom. We are on the approved lists of many local authorities as well as Constructionline and we are Link Up approved for railway works - see separate section on our rail capabilities.
As approved Highways Agency contractors, Topbond work closely with consultants and contractors to provide a range of specialist services - diamond drilling and sawing, hydro-demolition, resin injection, grouting and sprayed concrete.
Where access is a problem, Topbond have teams specially trained for confined spaces and abseiling, and of course all operations are carried out with due regard for health and safety.
By utilising the capabilties of both Topbond and HTS (our northern division), we are able to offer a nationwide repair and refurbishment service.
Topbond’s activities dovetail with other divisions within the Topbond Group to provide a complete bridge service - footbridge design and build, survey and testing and of course refurbishment.
