For almost a year now, Howard Joinery have been making a variety of joinery products for Le Poussin, a luxury hotel refurbishment project in Lyndhurst, Hampshire, on the edge of the New Forest. Originally built as a hunting lodge, it was rebuilt in the 1740s by the Duke of Clarence. It is now being refurbished to become the ‘ultimate house in the country’ complete with grand spa. Carillion are the main contractor and the finished Hotel is aimed at the American market and tourists . The initial contract was for doors and windows, with a value of around £30,000, but further orders have been received, taking the total contract value to around £80,000. Some of the work has been supply and fix, and some supply only. Howard Joinery are at present working on further orders for oak window frames, as well as orders for shutters and decking. The hotel is due to open at the end of this year
