As part of a major refurbishment programme of railway stations in the South East, Howard Joinery have been contracted to undertake repairs to stations, signal boxes and footbridges at numerous locations.
In addition to joinery works, Howard Joinery have carried glazing, flooring, painting and other repairs, and where appropriate have been able to call in the skills and experience of other divisions of the Topbond Group to carry out tasks such as concrete and brick repairs.
The project at St John’s Railway station involved repairs and painting of the station canopy.
All works were undertaken by skilled, PTS trained staff and had to be done during railway possessions, involving close liaison with the main contractor and other interested parties.
