Hydra Technical Services (HTS) were commissioned by Kendall Kingscott Partnership to carry-out a survey of an 11 storey building in the centre of Swansea as part of their BT facilities contract.
The aim of the survey was to determine the current condition of the external fabric of the concrete elements cladding the tower.
Due to the size and location of the tower HTS deployed an abseiling team to undertake the survey.
The survey had to be undertaken whilst access to the building and the public footpaths remained open.
HTS produced a report on the survey and associated laboratory testing of samples collected by the abseil team. The final report included CAD drawings and a repair specification.
