Teddington Railway Station
Repairs to Passenger Footbridge
As part of a Minor Works Contract for Network Rail, Howard Joinery were sub-contracted to carry out repair works on various railway stations in the Southern Region.
The works at Teddington Station involved repairs to the passenger footbridge. This is a timber and steel structure on brick abutments with timber approach steps. Howard Joinery were responsible for the removal of all existing timber components and fixing brackets and replacement with new. After replacing the timbers, full decoration was carried out.
Works were carried out over the railway lines at a weekend. Although footpath access was prohibited, the works were carried out speedily to minimise disruption to the general public.
